Abstract Cartography

My latest collection of work, taking my series of smaller map works to a larger scale, using cartography as a means of creating abstract explorations of a sense of place through colour and marks. Each piece uses a reclaimed reproduction vintage map of a location in Oxfordshire to explore ideas around the transience and identities of a space over time – both geographically and in our personal histories with a location – and the sense of belonging and ownership we feel in relation to a place. Contact me if you are interested in an artwork.
