Mapping Our Bodies
As part of the New Platform Art's Professional Development Programme 2022, I collaborated with artists Chloe Moncrieff and Sophie Anne Wyth to explore peer mentoring and new directions in my practice. This work marked the beginning of my move from abstraction into figurative explorations of the female body and identity.

Through this collaboration, I began developing a new body of work exploring our (dis)connection with our bodies and the spaces we inhabit, with a focus on the female experience. This project laid important groundwork for the figurative and feminist themes that continue to run through my practice today.
The n.pa ‘collaboration in practice’ LAB created a supportive space that blended peer mentoring, informal crit sessions, and open conversations about the realities of making work.

At the time, I was at a turning point in my practice – moving from abstraction into more figurative explorations. Having the insight and encouragement of two artists working across both approaches was invaluable. Their feedback helped me navigate the shift from research into making, widening my artistic influences and pushing me to experiment with new materials.
Our LAB became more than just a programme requirement; it grew into an ongoing peer network that continues to shape my practice. We found that the mix of accountability, shared curiosity, and emotional support was exactly what we needed in the often-solitary process of creating.
